With reference to your letter No.F.2734/29/10

of the 15th June, regarding the proposed Hong Kong

China Customs Agreement, I am directed by Lord Passfield

to transmit, for the information of the Secretary of

State for Foreign Affairs, copies of the despatch to

the Governor of Hong Kong as sent and to request that

a copy of the despatch and its enclosures may be

comunicated to His Majesty's Minister at Peking and

that the second copy of the draft agreement as revised

may be communicated semi-officially to the representa-

tive of the Chinese Maritime Customs in London.
